Meji Plans To Invest More in Cambodia

Tokyo: Director of Meiji Co., Ltd, Mr. Katsunari Matsuda, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Manet on the morning of December 19, 2023 during The 50th ASEAN-Japan Memorial from December 15-19, 2023 in Tokyo, Japan.

On the occasion of the meeting, Mr. Katsunari Matsuda thanked the prime minister for taking the time to allow him and his colleagues to pay a courtesy call and briefed on the progress of the company's business activities.

At the same time, Mr. Katsunari Matsuda also mentioned his investment project on both the diversity of products and the modern technology in Cambodia in the future and expressed his gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for making all aspects of the company's business to run smoothly.

Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the meeting with Mr. Katsunari Matsuda and his colleagues and expressed his gratitude and pleasure to Meiji for expressing his interest and plans to invest in Cambodia in the future. The Royal Government of Cambodia has been focusing on the development of human resources that need to be based on knowledge, ability and health, so the supply of quality and safe food is a top priority.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister encouraged companies to invest in agriculture by producing directly for sale in the Cambodian market and exporting to neighboring countries and countries in the region that are in high demand for these products. Encourage companies to help train Cambodian human resources in agricultural skills to contribute to increasing productivity in this sector even more.

He also stressed that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been paying attention to ensuring the sustainability of a favorable environment for business and investment through the introduction of new policies, implementation mechanisms and legal frameworks to facilitate and provide favorable and attractive incentives to investors who come to invest in Cambodia.
